In 1984 Dennis DeYoung released his first solo album after a successful run with Styx. I am not about to get into all the drama surrounding DeYoung and Styx, but instead enjoy this classic. I have always been a big fan of DeYoung's voice, but could have done without the theatrical direction he was taking Styx during the Mr. Roboto years. Desert Moon was released in 1984 and the title track hit #10 on the Hot 100. This is DeYoung's highest appearance on the Hot 100 as a solo artist.
Maybe tomorrow we will talk about Girls With Guns.. Hmmmm..
